Hey friends,

We officially launched Self-Centered two weeks ago, and we’ve been overwhelmed by your support, messages, and feedback.

When we set out to build this, we agreed on two things:

  1. We wanted to be deeply thoughtful about every part of it — the content, the guests, the format, the branding, the storytelling.

  2. We didn’t want it to add more stress to our worlds. We wanted to trust our instincts — to push when it felt right and pause when it didn’t.

Hence why it took us two years to launch (lol).

We have big dreams for where this goes, and we’re so grateful that you’ve chosen to be here from Day 1. It’s going to be a fun ride, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

What you can expect 👀

🗓 New episodes drop every other Wednesday

We alternate between two formats:

🧠 Core Episodes
Tori and Olivia sit in the studio reflecting on the tension between the self and the system across a wide range of topics — weaving in insights from expert guests.

Double Tap Episodes
Either Tori (for system convos) or Olivia (for self convos) leads a guest interview, diving deeper into a topic through the expert’s lens.

We’ll also show up in your inbox every other week with behind-the-scenes stories, fun anecdotes, and recommendations we love.

🎙️ Catch up on Self-Centered

Episode 01 — Reclaiming Our Peace in the Performance of Healing

With writer and cultural strategist Van Newman and licensed therapist and author Minaa B., we explored how our pursuit of wellness often mirrors the very systems that burn us out — and what it means to design care that supports rather than measures healing.

Episode 02 — Play, Community, and Redefining Healing with Minaa B.

In our first Double Tap episode, we return to our conversation with Minaa B. to move from awareness to action — exploring how we can rebuild care on a collective level.

She unpacks how play and community can interrupt the cycles of productivity culture, why rest is a form of resistance, and what it looks like to imagine healing as something we do together, not alone.

If the podcast is resonating, the most self-centered thing you can do is share it, rate it, or forward this email to a friend who’s been trying to “heal better.”

More to come!
